Simplify Communication - Get attention
Today’s Newsletter:

A career in connecting
I didn’t go to college for sales. I didn’t say “I want to be a salesman when I grow up” as a child. I didn’t know the first this about selling when I got started.
But I love what I do. And at this stage in life there is nothing else that I’d rather be doing.
What do I love most about what I’m doing? Connecting and communicating. I’ve found that being a connector is what I absolutely love.
That is what this newsletter is all about. Connecting people without an agenda, just to be helpful, is by far one of the most rewarding things I do on a daily basis.
How can I help you today?

3 2-word combos to better your communication
“I’m Sorry”
In all contexts, apologizing will get your further than trying to explain your position.
“That’s Right”
Rather than “you’re right” using “that’s right” conveys the message is correct, not that the person is correct, which is a more valuable way to be agreeable to most people.
“You’re welcome”
We can struggle sometimes to sincerely compliment and build each other up. So remember to always accept someone’s gratitude.

2 products sales reps should look into

My favorite pen, hands down.
Writes smooth, great feel, high quality. Cost is a little high, but definitely not the highest!
Highly recommended, however I have not used one. I have a friend who uses it for nearly every call. Great for keeping notes like you would on real paper, and the digital file can be saved directly to your drive/cloud, and even converted to more manageable PDF formats.

1 Atomic thought
A birds wings make them look ridiculous if their trying to swim with them.
If you can’t fit your passion, desire, and superpowers into the role you’re currently working on, you will find yourself trying to swim with wings, rather than soaring with them.
It may be time to look more toward the career that allows those superpowers to make you stand out and thrive, as well as motivate you to become the best version of yourself.
